We’re hiring a Campaigns Officer
Careers with the ASF
30 October, 2026
We’re looking for a creative, organised and proactive Campaigns Officer to join our growing Development Team, delivering key campaigns and sharing the impact of our charitable work.
At the Andrew Simpson Foundation, we create life-changing journeys on the water: shaping young lives, strengthening communities and transforming futures.
We believe that every young person should have access to the life-changing benefits of being on the water. From building self-belief to unlocking potential, we use sailing and watersports as a powerful tool for education, wellbeing and community connection. Everything we do is shaped by four core pillars of impact:
- Enabling active participation – Helping more people get active through sailing and watersports, supporting wellbeing and making regular participation part of everyday life.
- Developing skills & personal pathways – Helping people build confidence, gain skills and find opportunities in education, employment, volunteering and sport.
- Building connected communities – Bringing people together, supporting families and creating places where everyone feels welcome.
- Championing environmental engagement – Helping people learn about our coasts and waterways, take part in conservation and develop skills to care for their future.
Our success is built on the dedication and passion of our team. We foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, where every team member plays a role in making a lasting impact.
About the role
You’ll take ownership of key fundraising campaigns throughout the year, turning agreed briefs into engaging campaigns that generate income, strengthen supporter relationships and demonstrate the difference our work makes.
From developing initial ideas and creating content to coordinating delivery and evaluating results, you’ll drive campaigns forward, working with colleagues to meet agreed objectives, timescales and spend.
Alongside campaign delivery, you’ll play a leading role in the Foundation’s day-to-day digital communications and support charitable communications across the ASF Family. This will include gathering participant stories, creating written, photographic and video content, preparing updates and reports, and supporting press and event communications.
This is a practical, hands-on role with opportunities to develop and progress within a growing team.
About you
You’ll have experience planning, delivering and evaluating campaigns across multiple channels, with the confidence to turn a brief into a clear plan and independently drive activity through to completion.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong writing, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to create persuasive messages and clear calls to action.
- Strong organisational and project management skills, including coordinating contributors, managing deadlines and monitoring budgets.
- Experience creating and publishing content for email, websites and social media.
- Confidence capturing and lightly editing video for campaigns and other communications.
- The ability to use campaign data and audience insights to improve results.
- A thoughtful approach to gathering participant stories and building positive relationships.
- A proactive, adaptable approach to managing several priorities.
Experience in the not-for-profit sector, particularly fundraising campaigns and supporter communications, would be an advantage, as would experience in press, event communications or impact reporting. Knowledge of sailing and watersports is desirable.
