Welcoming HRH Princess Anne to ASC Portsmouth
We recently had the privilege of supporting the Royal Naval Sailing Association (RNSA) in welcoming their Patron and Admiral, Her Royal Highness Princess Anne, to Andrew Simpson Centres Portsmouth.

The visit was an opportunity to share and celebrate the impact of RNSA’s work and introduce Her Royal Highness to some of its beneficiaries and members.

We’re proud to be the delivery partner for RNSA Sail Together programmes, which provide free sailing and windsurfing experiences for serving and reservist Royal Navy personnel, their spouses, and children. Through the programmes, participants can meet others who share similar experiences, build new skills in a fun and friendly environment, and earn qualifications they can take forward in life and work.

We also welcomed the opportunity to speak to Her Royal Highness about Connected Communities, a new project between Greenwich Hospital and the Andrew Simpson Foundation, supported by the Royal Navy. The project aims to strengthen the communities in which Royal Navy people and their families live, by creating more opportunities that support positive physical and mental wellbeing.

Building connected communities is one of our core pillars of impact at the Andrew Simpson Foundation, recognising the role that sport, outdoor activity and shared community spaces can play in supporting our beneficiaries’ wellbeing, resilience and positive outcomes.

We’d like to thank Royal Naval Sailing Association for making us part of this very special visit.
