Celebrating a year of Duke of Edinburgh adventures

With the Duke of Edinburgh season drawing to a close, we're celebrating everything our crews have achieved over the past year at Andrew Simpson Yachting.
It’s been a busy year of navigating new waters, learning to sail, standing night watches and working together as a team. Every expedition has brought new challenges, skills and plenty of memories. Here’s what we’ve achieved in 2026…
- 11 Duke of Edinburgh expeditions completed
- 55 awards achieved
- 55 young people on the water
- Over 630 miles sailed
- 9 locations visited
These are some fantastic figures and we’re so proud to celebrate another successful year. We’d like to say a massive thank you to every instructor, leader, school and group working behind the scenes to make these expeditions possible.
Andrew Simpson Yachting is an Approved Activity Provider (AAP) for Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh expeditions for small groups and individuals. Each course is carefully managed to ensure a safe, enjoyable and rewarding experience. Find out more here.
