The Silicon Cup is delighted to announce that they have selected the Andrew Simpson Foundation, a sailing charity set up in memory of Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson as one of their official charities for the 2018 Silicon Cup.
As of Wednesday 1st November 2017, the Portsmouth City Council (PCC) owned facility, Portsmouth Watersports Centre will be operated by the Andrew Simpson Foundation.
A number of sailing and yacht clubs in the Caribbean that have been affected by Hurricane Irma have taken part in Bart’s Bash in previous years and had planned to hold an event during next weekend’s Bart’s Bash.
Today HRH The Duchess of Cambridge visited the Land Rover BAR headquarters in Portsmouth, home of the America’s Cup team, to launch the 1851 Trust’s 2016 sailing programme.
