We’re hiring for two Community Outreach Coordinators

At the Andrew Simpson Foundation, our mission is clear: To transform lives through sailing and watersports. We believe that every young person, regardless of background, should have access to the life-changing benefits of being on the water. Through our programmes, we help young people, and their communities grow in confidence, build skills, and connect with others. 

We’re looking for two passionate and organised Community Outreach Coordinators to help deliver Greenwich Hospital funded programmes and support our wider outreach work across the Andrew Simpson Foundation Group:  

Community Outreach Coordinator 

Contract: Full-time, 3-year fixed term (Sept 2025 – Aug 2028) 

You’ll be the first point of contact for the Swim Free programme – coordinating bookings, responding to enquiries, and ensuring a smooth, positive experience for families. You’ll also connect with schools, youth groups, community organisations, and local businesses to raise awareness and drive participation in available programmes across the Andrew Simpson Foundation Group.  

Community Outreach Coordinator  

Contract: Full-time, 2-year fixed term (Sept 2025 – Aug 2027)

Working together with the Royal Navy Sailing Association, you’ll coordinate the administrative functions of the Youth Crew and Go Sailing programmes, as well as supporting national outreach for Swim Free. This role involves working dynamically across Andrew Simpson Foundation Group development projects, engaging with schools, community groups, partner charities, and Royal Navy families.  

About both roles:

Highlights 

  • Coordinate bookings, communications, and enquiries.
  • Proactively engage with local communities, school & youth groups, partner charities, and Royal Navy families.
  • Build relationships with a variety of beneficiaries and stakeholders.
  • Support outreach events and community engagement activities.

 What we’re looking for 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Confident with the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of (or interest in) watersports and/or the Royal Navy community.
  • Full UK driving licence required.

Starting Salary: £25,000 per year 
Location: Portsmouth (office-based, with occasional UK travel)
