Celebrating 200 years of Cowes sailing with racing, networking & charity fundraising

Join Herbosch-Kier, Port 2 Port and the South Coast Lunch Club as we mark 200 years of racing with our own Cowes’ 200th Sailing Regatta Weekend and three unforgettable days of sailing, competition, and connection.

About the event

Eight Oceanis 37 yachts will take to the Solent, crewed by teams from across the maritime and coastal industries, for an unforgettable weekend of sailing and networking all in support of maritime and youth charities. This is your invitation to celebrate Cowes’ incredible sailing heritage, strengthen industry friendships, and make a positive impact along the way.

It’s a complete weekend experience designed to combine sailing, networking, and giving back.

How it works
~

Each yacht is an Oceanis 37 (8-berth) supplied by Fairview Sailing. Teams are sponsored by one or two companies, with each yacht named after its sponsor, racing against each other to win the Simpson Cup.

Working in partnership to create an unforgettable weekend

The three-day lineup

Set sail for an exclusive three-day regatta across the Solent – a blend of spirited competition,
relaxed flotilla lunches, and elegant evenings in Cowes. Designed for connection, camaraderie,
and a shared passion for the water, the event raises funds for the Andrew Simpson Foundation, proudly supported by Herbosch-Keir, Port 2 Port, and the South Coast Lunch Club.

The Simpson Cup

This year’s inaugural Cowes 200th Regatta will see competitors racing for The Simpson Cup, a brand-new trophy created in honour of Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson MBE – Olympic legend, devoted husband and father, who tragically lost his life while training for the 34th America’s Cup in 2012.

Bart’s legacy continues to inspire sailors around the world through the Andrew Simpson Foundation, established to celebrate his life and continue his mission of encouraging participation and excellence in sailing. The Foundation continues his mission to transform lives and support young people from under-served communities all around the world. A fiercely competitive sportsman, Bart was also known for his warmth, generosity, and ability to motivate those around him.

He is deeply missed by all who knew him and by many who were inspired by his achievements and spirit. His memory lives on through the work of the Andrew Simpson Foundation, and in his wife Leah and two sons, Freddie and Hamish, both of whom share his unforgettable smile.
