Volunteers Instructor Training Grants

Volunteer Instructor Training Grants are available with the Andrew Simpson Foundation. There are 200 fully subsidised places available throughout 2017  & 2018 for RYA Dinghy Instructor and RYA Senior Instructor courses. Endorsements are also available.

The majority of the courses will be hosted by the Andrew Simpson Watersports Centre’s based at the National Sailing Academy, Weymouth, Eastern Road, Portsmouth and Burghfield Sailing Club, Nr Reading. Other, specifically targeted courses will be held at venues around the country in 2018.

Our aim is to significantly increase the number of qualified volunteers at sailing clubs to allow them to enlarge their training calendars and ensure that as many people as possible are offered the opportunity to enjoy the sport of sailing.
